The White House Cocaine Incident – US Secret Service Investigating

Two news organizations were informed on Tuesday that a white substance that was discovered inside the White House late on Sunday and that caused a temporary evacuation had tested positive for cocaine.

A preliminary analysis revealed the material found in the West Wing was cocaine, sources informed the Associated Press and Reuters news agencies independently.

Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the US Secret Service, told the Washington Post that more testing was being done on the material but declined to confirm the discovery.

Cocaine Discovered at White House

Biden was not present in the White House.

When secret service personnel doing normal patrols discovered the white powder in a location accessible to tour groups, President Joe Biden and his family were at Camp David.

The Secret Service released a statement saying, “On Sunday evening, the White House complex went into a precautionary closure as officers from the Secret Service Uniformed Division investigated an unknown item found inside a work area.”

The statement said, “The item was submitted for additional assessment and an inquiry into the reason and manner of its entry into the White House is underway.
